Lady Gaga - Every Time We Say Goodbye

Hiya everyone! Hope you're all good.

So a slow, charming track for this lovely Thursday evening. What more could we want, we're rolling into the weekend with one day to go. It's over there! On the horizon. WOOP.
So a little musical treat in the shape of the b-e-a-utiful Lady Gaga.
She has covered one of my all time favourite songs. First introduced in 1944 written by Cole Porter. Since then it's gained popularity covered by Shirley Bassey, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Annie Lennox, Nina Simone and Rod Stewart, just to name a handful.
I first properly fell in love with this song when I heard Ray Charles and Betty Carter perform it on the 1998 version of Parent Trap. (favourite movie alert)

Lady Gaga's rendition of this song has come right up to the top of my favourite versions, ever. She has an absolutely stunning vocal range, and I'm so beyond happy that she made this 'Cheek to Cheek' album. Allowing us to hear her voice in a completely different genre compared to her usual chart topping hits.

Lady Gaga is the queen of suiting & smashing pretty much any genre you can throw at her.
10/10 beautiful lady, thank you for this rendition.

Enjoy!
G.x
