Today marks the seven year anniversary of the ever-so-influential "808s & Heartbreak" from the man, the enigma himself, Mr Kanye West.
I remember when this was released, this album managed to divide music fans straight down the middle, and draw both good and not so good criticism. For me, I think it's the album where Kanye began to show the world his truly creative side, every track since 808s & Heartbreak has had a different vibe and every album he's dropped has sounded so fresh compared to the previous. I'm so ready to hear the new album, it's ridiculous.
Love him or hate him, Ye clearly broke boundaries with this album, it was a sound years before it's time and paved the way for the music we hear today.
